The Sports Festival returns again in 2024, the event that promotes sport and its fundamental values in Genova and Liguria.
2024, the year in which Genova is the European Capital of Sport, is a special birthday: the Sports Festival turns 20 and the Stars in Sport project celebrates 25 years of commitment to promoting sport and its values among young people.
The largest and most fascinating sports village in Italy will be set up in the special setting of the Porto Antico, directly overlooking the sea.
Friday 24th May the day will be dedicated to students with the School Olympics, the rowing Palio and all the performances on the stages of the Festival.
On Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th, however, performances and sports for everyone, but also tournaments and official competitions such as the Miglio Blu, a competitive 1,609 km running race around the Magazzini del Cotone.
There will be two previews of this great edition on Thursday 23rd May. At 9.00 am the Baby Marathon will be run and at 8.30 pm Stars in Sport will traditionally celebrate the best Ligurian athletes at an international level in the 25th Gala delle Stelle the Magazzini del Cotone.
The Sports Festival will once again bring tens of thousands of young people closer to sport and its values, who will be able to try the activities completely free of charge with the constant assistance of qualified instructors and meet numerous sports stars "on the field".
Sustainability, inclusiveness and solidarity will, as always, be the core values of the Sports Festival which renews its mission in support of the Gigi Ghirotti Foundation with the traditional fundraising and various initiatives in support of the "historic" reality, founded and chaired by Prof. Franco Henriquet, which will celebrate its 40th year of activity in 2024.
Due saranno le anteprime di questa grande edizione nella giornata di Giovedì 23 maggio. Alle ore 9.00 si correrà la Baby Maratona e alle 20:30 Stelle nello Sport celebrerà come per tradizione i migliori sportivi liguri a livello internazionale nel 25° Galà delle Stelle ai Magazzini del Cotone.
La Festa dello Sport avvicinerà, ancora una volta, allo sport e ai suoi valori decine di migliaia di giovani, che potranno provare le attività in modo completamente gratuito con la costante assistenza di istruttori qualificati e incontrare “sul campo” numerose stelle sportive.
Sostenibilità, inclusività e solidarietà saranno come sempre valori portanti della Festa dello Sport che rinnova la propria missione a sostegno della Fondazione Gigi Ghirotti con la tradizionale raccolta fondi e diverse iniziative a supporto della “storica” realtà, fondata e presieduta dal Prof. Franco Henriquet, che festeggerà nel 2024 il suo 40° anno di attività.
